Welcome to the Schreiber Foundation For Cancer Research
My name is Lyn Schreiber, founder and president of Schreiber Foundation For Cancer Research. Our web site is about pancreatic cancer and it offers the following information:
Cancer Risk Clinic Established
In 1992, in memory of my son Tom who died of pancreatic cancer, my late husband and I created the University of Chicago Risk Clinic with an emphasis on pancreatic cancer. In its first year three families were evaluated. Since its inception, thousands of families have been evaluated. This clinic has rapidly become one of the most important in the United States. Read more about the clinic and our foundation.
Contributions Support Cancer Research
100% of your contribution goes directly to cancer research because Lyn Schreiber pays for all of the foundation's operating expenses from her own personal funds. This makes SFCR different- in an important way. Many charitable organizations have operating expenses in their budget; these expenses are paid through a portion of the contribution. At SFCR, your entire contribution goes to fund the research for pancreatic cancer. All of SFCR expenses are paid by Lyn.
As an added bonus, your contribution is tax deductible. The Schreiber Foundation
for Cancer Research is fully recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)3 organization.
If you would like to make a tax deductible contribution that will offer hope
to pancreatic cancer patients through research, then make your check payable
to "SFCR" and mail it to:
