Welcome to the Schreiber Foundation For Cancer Research

My name is Lyn Schreiber, founder and president of Schreiber Foundation For Cancer Research. Our web site is about pancreatic cancer and it offers the following information:

Cancer Risk Clinic Established

In 1992, in memory of my son Tom who died of pancreatic cancer, my late husband and I created the University of Chicago Risk Clinic with an emphasis on pancreatic cancer. In its first year three families were evaluated. Since its inception, thousands of families have been evaluated. This clinic has rapidly become one of the most important in the United States. Read more about the clinic and our foundation.

Contributions Support Cancer Research

100% of your contribution goes directly to cancer research because Lyn Schreiber pays for all of the foundation's operating expenses from her own personal funds. This makes SFCR different- in an important way. Many charitable organizations have operating expenses in their budget; these expenses are paid through a portion of the contribution. At SFCR, your entire contribution goes to fund the research for pancreatic cancer. All of SFCR expenses are paid by Lyn.

As an added bonus, your contribution is tax deductible. The Schreiber Foundation for Cancer Research is fully recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)3 organization. If you would like to make a tax deductible contribution that will offer hope to pancreatic cancer patients through research, then make your check payable to "SFCR" and mail it to:

Lyn's Art Gallery

Lyn is always looking for additional ways to fund pancreatic cancer research. As a talented and successful artist, Lyn realizes that her paintings bring enjoyment and pleasure to the viewers, and owners of her art. She continues the "cause" through the sale of her paintings and she donates all of the proceeds to SFCR!"

Vida Video Productions shoots documentary. One of the midwest's leading video productions studios has filmed a documentary about Lyn and her foundation (SFCR) on location at the Cancer Risk Clinic. The documentary takes you inside the University of Chicago cancer research center and gives you an insider's viewpoint. Interested in a DVD? I would like to contribute to cancer research and receive a complementary DVD.

Lyn is made an honary member of the Henry P. Tappan Society through the University of Michigan. Congratulations Lyn! Your continued support is much appreciated.
